A friendly guy knocked on my door today and introduced himself and business called HikeHelp. This is a Baggage Transfer Service which lightens your load when walking either the Peddars Way or Coastal path. Such a good idea why not check it out.

This week I started on the Snowdrop Walk. This is a five year project creating a snowdrop walk along the floor of the 'Dyke Hills', the old town defences, which runs along the south and west side of Tudor Lodgings finishing at the church. Kindly gardeners and landowners have donated snowdrops which I divide and plant. The intention is to Open for charity but nothing to show for my hard work yet. It is a real labour of love as I have to also clear the elder, nettles and various bits of debris from this ancient site.

The Norfolk Rivers Trust held a public meeting in The Barn yesterday. We were informed that restoration work on the river has been postponed until the Autumn because the charming little Water Voles are breeding much earlier than usual. Nar Valley Way - the start

A perfect morning to begin walking the Nar Valley Way. Started at Gressenhall and finished at Castle Acre. Lovely walk which took 4 hours and 10 minutes and in spite of the name, we saw very little of the River Nar.
